Honouring Lynn Factor's Appointment to the Order of Canada
For over 35 years, Lynn Factor has served on the frontlines of child welfare and has seen the damaging effect of children living under the weight of constant abuse, neglect and trauma.
As a long-standing volunteer of Children's Aid Foundation of Canada, it is with great pride that we see Lynn Factor recognized for her extraordinary work in child welfare as a Member of the Order of Canada. In Lynn’s professional role as a Child Witness Advocate at the Boost Centre for Child Advocacy, she is faced with navigating the complexities of working with children who are dealing with trauma. In addition to the time and energy Lynn dedicates to her professional role at Boost, she is constantly imagining new collaborations or alternative ways to approach long standing issues in child welfare through her volunteer roles with Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada and Covenant House.
In recognition of Lynn’s commitment to our country’s most vulnerable children, Sheldon Inwentash and Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada are honoured to receive donations in celebration of her recent appointment to the Order of Canada. This award accurately celebrates her profound contribution to the welfare of Canadian children - past, present and future.
