Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada Gala – Teddy Bear Affair
Always an affair to remember, Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada Gala – Teddy Bear Affair is an evening of elegance and inspiration in support of families, children, and youth whose lives have been involved in the child welfare system. This exclusive, black-tie event brings together like-minded philanthropists and leaders from across the country who believe, as we do, that all kids deserve a chance to live their dreams, to heal, to hope, and to thrive.
This year the Foundation collaborated with The Indigenous Spirit Fund at the Native Child and Family Services of Toronto to produce the Gala. Looking through the lens of Indigenous-Futurism, an artistic movement that imagines what an Indigenous future might look like, the evening was a celebration and reflection that honoured the richness, perseverance, and dynamism of Indigenous communities – one that supports a brighter future for them and all children who have experienced care.
Thanks to our Honorary Chairs, Gala Chairs, sponsors, volunteers, partners and committed donors, $1.83 million (our third highest fundraising result in our 37-year history!) was raised to support children, youth and families involved with child welfare.
